What is a psychiatrist?

A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who treats mental health conditions. They understand how the mind and body affect each other and work together in treatment.

Our Approach

Treatment

The treatment starts with appropriate physical assessments. This ensures the exclusion of medical or physical conditions accounting for the psychological presentations. If detected, appropriate referrals to other relevant medical practitioners are made. We are also trained to provide pharmacological treatment for psychological treatments.

Care

Mental health research across the world has shown that mental health services should include meeting emotional needs of clients more than simply supplying psychiatric pills. Of course your story matters and we are not just about medicalizing it. We are proud to say we have managed to achieve this through giving a safe, confidential space for emotional discharge.

We also share emotional burdens with our clients by exercising empathetic and non-judgmental listening. This ensures that the emotional burdens are removed. This is indeed the initial step towards mind empowerment.

Rehabilitation

Our rehabilitation services for people with a mental illness are provided in a variety of settings. We have structured our mental health rehabilitation services in a recovery oriented way. To achieve our rehabilitation goal, we provide supportive therapy and facilitate referrals to other trained therapists for in-depth psychological therapy. We also facilitate referrals to occupational therapy services and social worker services.
